RULES FOR USING THE SITE

Terms of Use

A fan project, not an official product

GameCompletion is an independent fan project. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by FromSoftware, Bandai Namco, Team Cherry, Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Valve, or any other rights holder. Elden Ring, Hollow Knight, and all related names, characters, artwork, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We use those names only to identify the games the checklists cover.

If you represent a rights holder and want something changed or removed, email support@gamecompletion.net with the URL and what you want done. We treat those messages as a priority.

What you may do with the checklists

The site is free to use for personal, non-commercial tracking. You may check items off, filter lists, export your own JSON backup, and import that backup into another browser you control. You may link to public pages such as the Elden Ring checklist or the Hollow Knight tracker.

You may not scrape the site in a way that degrades service, copy the checklists to present them as your own product, wrap the pages in another site’s frame without permission, or use the brand GameCompletion to imply an official tie to a publisher. Automated access that respects ordinary caching and does not hammer the host is acceptable; flooding the origin is not.

Your progress is your responsibility

Checks save in the browser you are using. There is no account and no server-side backup. Clearing site data, switching devices, blocking storage, or a damaged profile can erase the list. Export a file if the progress matters. Import replaces that game’s checklist in the current browser. We cannot recover a list we never received.

The checklists are player-maintained. An empty box means you have not marked the objective, not that the game failed to award it. A “missable” flag means a quest or item can become unavailable later; it is not a live read of your save. Completion percentages follow the rule printed on each game page. They are not a promise that a platform trophy list, a wiki, or a future patch will match.

Accuracy, spoilers, and advice

Lists are compiled from public game information and ongoing corrections. Games patch. Names differ across regions. Optional encounters are easy to mis-count. We try to keep hubs and category pages aligned, but we do not warrant that every row is complete or current. Send a specific correction through the contact page rather than assuming the tracker is the last word.

Boss names, quest titles, and item names can spoil a first playthrough. The site does not hide those names behind a spoiler gate. Use it when you want a completion list, not when you want a blind run.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to:

  • Attempt to break, overload, or probe the host beyond ordinary browsing.
  • Upload malware in an import file or email attachment.
  • Harass, impersonate staff, or send bulk advertising to support@gamecompletion.net.
  • Claim the checklists are official publisher tools or that we can modify platform trophies, bans, or refunds.

We may block abusive traffic. Because the product is a static website, “suspension of an account” does not apply; there are no accounts.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free lists, or compatibility with every browser. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GameCompletion and its operator are not liable for lost progress, lost time, spoiled stories, or damages that arise from using or being unable to use the checklists. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, the limit is the maximum the law allows.

Nothing on this site is legal, consumer, or platform-support advice. Store purchases, age ratings, and in-game conduct remain between you and the publisher or platform.

Changes

We may update these terms as games, hosting, or the checklists change. The “Last updated” line at the top is the effective date. If you continue to use the site after a revision, the new terms apply. Privacy practices are described separately in the privacy policy. For everything else, write to support@gamecompletion.net.
